our program is to increase your competence for
assisting clients who have a mental illness. Our
mental health program will inform you on the scope
of mental illness and the characteristics of its
five major illnesses. This is a vital course for
you to take due to the preponderance of mental
illness in every community. Since Canadian vital
statistics state one in every five Canadian will
have a mental health problem at some stage in
their life, it is likely you will need to assist
a client with this diagnosis. Ensure you are informed
and prepared by using our mental health program
to provide you with a solid knowledge base. Vancouver
Coastal Health Competency Standards are covered
in this course and graduates will meet these expectations.
